General
Description:
The Wesmac design blends the best
aspects of Downeast and Chesapeake Bay workboats into a tough,
easily-driven hull form, ideal for offshore fishing or cruising.
The full keel assures excellent tracking and protection for
running gear. The reverse hard chines give planning lift and
resistance to rolling. Her nicely flared bow and spray rails
make her dry- even when driven hard to weather. Her slightly
curved stem and tumblehome aft add classic beauty to her lines.
The respected naval architect, Mike Kaufman is designing the
accommodation plan.
The hull is hand laid, solid fiberglass and vinyl ester resin .
There is no print-through and the hull is perfectly fair. The
full keel and streamlined skeg support a stainless rudder shoe
and custom welded stainless rudder.
Custom-welded stainless steel bow and stern rails are on order
and a satin-varnished (7 coats!) teak & holly sole has been
installed and finished in the main saloon.
