Equipment:
The following list of new purchases
and new fittings and jobs performed, as per refit report made by
owner and which its application inspected by us.
1. Replacing all 24V cables, batteries, selectors and isolators.
2. Replacing sea water tubes, and 4 bilge pumps.
3. Sea trails.
Soon after the vessel was delivered by the crew to Marmaris
Turkey and the work was continued as hereby described:
4. Replacing all the railings to stainless steel with mahogany
wood cover with marine varnish.
5. Replacing the stairways to stainless steel with teak steps.
6. Large carpentry job (mahogany) in the observation lab that
was changed to a luxurious bar-lounge, including new ceiling and
installation of all new 220V light elements.
7. New marine Air conditioning units for all the cabins and bar
platform, industrial fridge units were installed in the bar.
8. The Hull was repainted with 2 coats of Juton paint.
9. The upper deck was refitted to a sitting place with 2 bars
and stainless steel railing.
10. The boat was hauled to dry dock and checked (see survey
ultrasonic inspection dated 12/04/05), the bottom and wheel and
shaft were serviced, anode zincs added.
11. Contraction of a massive stainless steel bimini with
sunbrella cover was installed on the main deck, as well as
stainless steel and teak sitting benches.
12. The old divers platform was replaced with new stainless
steel supports with teak planks.
13. All 220/380V system was re-wired, 2 isolation transformers
were installed with a regulator according to survey
recommendations from 12/04/05.
14. Engines were lifted to be supported by shock-observers, and
flexible couplings were installed on each shaft.
15. Engine and generators exhaust systems were replaced to new,
and Vetus water locks added.
16. New mono pump 380V Shaft model was installed for the grey
water tanks.
17. Stainless steel 1.8 ton lifting power / 4 meter hydraulic
PASSARELA was added for passengers entrance.
18. Noise thinsulate 3M material covered with aluminum plates,
were installed at engine room entrance and door together with a
wood plate Knish construction to provide a noise-free space
around the engine room entrance.
19. All showers and toilets were refitted.
20. A fire CO2 tanks system was installed with leading pipes
into the engine room.
21. An audio professional music system, together with a 42"
plasma T.V Pioneer.
Soon after, the boat was delivered to Haifa Israel ship yards
for fire alarm system installation and for separated aft fuel
tanks installation according to Israel government regulations
and demand for fare paying passenger vessels. The vessel name
was changed to "YACHTA" and a commercial passenger's license was
issued at JUNE 2005.

General
Description:
M/V "Yachta" is a steel built
fishing vessel, keel laid 1999, which converted during 2002 to
marine research vessel and then again, during 2005, refitted
into commercial passenger vessel.
Removing of fishing gear trawl, marine research gear and labs.
An extra superstructure added on main deck.
The hull is built of transverse framing angle bars with
intermittent welding.
Underwater bottom plates said to have been replaced to MM thick,
tested ultrasonically mid 2005 and found sufficient with no
unusual degradation.
The hull is in generally good condition and finished paint work.
Superstructure comprised of two tiers deckhouse which contains
cabins; wheelhouse; galley, messroom and living room, salon and
bar; all completed and fitted with furniture.
