General
Description:
This classic
trawler has been kept on the upper Chesapeake and maintained
in the same boatyard since new. She is powered by the long
running 120 HP Ford Lehman diesel and has had excellent
maintenance. If economy is your objective she only burns 2.3
gallons per hour at a 7 knot cruise. Equipped with an
overhauled Onan genset, stern thruster, radar and GPS, she
is ready for an extended cruise.
"Tesseract" is a double cabin trawler in excellent condition
inside and out. She is constructed on a solid fiberglass
hull with a deep forefoot and a long keel which fully
protects the running gear in the event of a grounding.
All the bright work on the exterior is in
excellent shape as well as the weathered teak decks.
Tesseract's satin finished solid teak interior gives the
feel of a much larger vessel. She has two private cabins
with heads, a compact galley (up) and salon with a lower
helm. Deck access is via port and starboard salon doors and
a door through the aft cabin.
This is an inviting area with the lower helm
forward and to starboard. The main salon provides easy
access to the large, clean engine room. The salon has an
open concept with surround seating for the Hi-Low dining
table and a swivel chair. The galley has a three burner
Magic chef propane stove with oven, stainless steel sink,
water filter system, microwave, Norcold AC/DC
refrigerator/freezer with teak finish and wet bar. This
vessel has a stereo system with CD, and speakers to the
salon, bridge, and aft cabin. The lower helm has a
salon-to-bridge intercom, a depth finder, and VHF radio.
Stairs forward and aft lead to the V-berth and aft cabins.
The aft master cabin is as spacious as that
of a 48' DeFever, and is built with direct access to the aft
deck. The aft head has a combination shower/tub. The
master cabin has a sit-down vanity, plenty of storage and
drawers, walk-in cedar lined closet and a walk-around
extra-long double berth.
The forward cabin has an oversized berth,
hanging locker and storage drawers. The forward head has a
shower, stainless steel sink, and head. The hanging locker
provides access to electronic hook-ups.
